Good afternoon Dr. Vinicius,
Congratulations on the great article! This page has been extremely useful for so many Brazilians who now find themselves in the same situation as me.
I left Brazil in 1992, recently graduated, with no earnings and no tax return. My question concerns the calculation of the fine for late declaration, as well as the calculation of any tax due to the RF from 1992 until today.
Thank you very much.July 6, 2022 at 6:07 am in reply to: Can people who leave the country permanently invest in Brazil? #7890SandraParticipant::Hello Vinicius, thank you very much for the article.
Well..... I've been living abroad (Norway) for 8 years and I've never declared my permanent departure from Brazil. Some years I filed a tax return and others I didn't (because it wasn't necessary). I keep my address, my house and my bank account in Brazil. This month I sent some money from Norway to Brazil and now they (BANCO BRADESCO) have asked me for a tax return from Brazil and Norway for the years 2021 and 2022 (the money is still held at Central Bradeso) will I be taxed again for this? what should I do?December 8th, 2022 at 11:43 pm in reply to: I didn't make a Declaration of Final Departure from Brazil: 3 conclusions about the risks #7553SandraParticipant::Good afternoon Dr. Vinicius
I left Brazil in 2002 and didn't make a final exit because I didn't know. I made an exempt declaration for a few years, but then it was no longer allowed to make this type of declaration. I have a bank account in Brazil, but no assets. I don't intend to return to live in Brazil. How could I
regularize the situation? Could I leave permanently? Thank you very much. -
